Feed Dispenser

This in-parlour feed dispenser is especially designed so it can be adapted to fit most milking stall designs and is one of the most accurate dispensers on the market.

This easy to fit unit comes complete with down spout to dispense the concentrate into the feed manger and a feed hopper for easy connection to the feed transport system. The hopper and dispenser can either be positioned inside or outside the parlour. It can be used in conjunction with the more basic batch feed control systems or with the Alpro® Management system that can allow full control of the in-parlour feeding and can even cater for feed to yield calculations.

The feeder is powered by a low voltage electrical supply of 24 volt ac and a specially designed synchronous motor built into the unit ensures a consistent running speed to ensure the feed is always dispensed at a consistent rate. The vertically positioned auger system controls the flow of concentrate from the dispenser into the feed manger.

Dispensing of the feed ration can be triggered using basic manual control system or alternatively with more advanced automatic identification of the cow as she enters the parlour. The identification system can operate with either neck transponders or the ISO ID ear tag. The feed dispensing time can be controlled to coincide with the expected milking speed of the cow.

The feeder is easy to calibrate to ensure accuracy at all times and it makes it possible to cater for the different range of concentrates that need to be dispensed.
