We're currently recruiting for two External Sales Representatives - one to be based at our offices at Thainstone Inverurie, and one to work remotely in the Perth area.  Full details can be found below.  The closing date for both these vacancies is Friday 20 March.

 

 

The Company 

 

Filpumps Ltd, based at Thainstone, Inverurie is a Private Water Supply specialist and engineering service company.  Established in 1992, we provide a wide range of pumps and filtration systems for domestic, agricultural and commercial customers throughout Scotland along with services including borehole drilling, system installation and aftercare service. Wastewater transfer and treatment systems for the private and commercial sectors are also part of our core products offering.  

 

The External Sales Representative will: 

 

  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships through good product and technical knowledge across all Filpumps’ products and services. 

 

  • Build strong relations by identifying key influencers and decision makers and providing robust technical solutions for pumps, controls and treatment systems. 

 

  • Develop and build new business opportunities, through both supply-only products and supply and installation of systems by managing the customers’ needs and expectations, delivering a high level of customer service always. 

 

  • Be a self-motivated individual who enjoys visiting customers and sales planning to assist the business in maintaining and expanding market share, seeking out new opportunities across the many business sectors we support. 

 

  • Work closely with our Sales Team, based in Inverurie, and strategic business planning, to identify and encourage the business development activities as well as acquisition of new opportunities and proposals.  

 

  • Liaise with internal departments such as sales and marketing to drive sales and promote the company in a positive way. 

 

  • Present and demonstrate products and services. 

 

  • Provide accurate Weekly CRM reporting updates.

The business will offer support in all areas to achieve targets including training, marketing, selling aids and IT support to achieve your key objectives. An internal support contact will assist with orders and producing quotations. 

 

Candidates must have: 

  • Minimum 3 years previous external sales experience managing customers 

  • Proactive and positive approach to sales 

  • Determination and self-motivation in the pursuit of sales opportunities 

  • Ability to seek out sales opportunities 

  • Good interpersonal skills 

  • Commercial awareness 

  • Good interpersonal, organisational skills and a strong working team ethic 

  • Ability to prepare technical and commercial proposals with background information for preparing quotes and enjoy delivering technical solutions 

 

 

Experience of pumps, controls and filter systems is advantageous but due to the specialist nature of the work and services we offer, the successful applicant, if the key criteria above can be met, will be provided with all necessary training.
